Treasure Hunter's Tips

  • The "Charles Warmonk Theory" which is a theory were you don't take JUNK such as ammo, gold, common weapons, rare weapons, and cards. You only take stuff that you really want. This boosts your chances of getting better stuff such as rare, famed, and legendary weapons, however not necessarily rare dyes. To read his full article on POTCO Wikia click here
  • You can find most legendary weapons on the islands of Padres Del Fuego, Raven's Cove, and Isla Tormenta.
  • Servers go through "cycles." Servers decide what will decide the chance of dropping loot skull chests. So, if you are getting junk, it's time to change servers.
  • The easiest legendary weapon to find is "Silver Freeze," the legendary throwing knives. It can be found anywhere, but Foulberto Smasho is the best place to fight him. (Bring voodoo-doll healers. Foulberto packs some serious damage!)
  • It doesn't matter how many people are fighting the enemy, it doesn't matter how much damage YOU do, it doesn't matter what weapon YOU use. It is all RANDOM. We recommend killing the enemies as fast as you can. Like with a bunderbuss or musket. The quick one shot kill gives you time to burn through more enemies.
  • Loot Skull Chest have been rumored to make their most drops around quarter of. (Ex. 1:45, 2:45, 3:45, ect.)
  • Fishing has been rumored to turn up rare dyes. (Sand Tiger Sharks are the best. We recommend around Devil's Anvil.)
  • Rare dyes are most likely to be found most frequently at the Treasure Room on Isla Tormenta.
  • Famed weapons are so broad, because they can be found almost anywhere. You can only find Famed Weapons on enemies who show "red" in their levels.
  • Rare dyes include:
    • Bright Blue
    • Bright Green
    • Bright Red
    • Bright Orange
    • Bright Yellow
    • Dark Black
    • Forest Green
    • Lavender
    • Magenta
    • Navy Blue
